Look What I Can Do!

Yesterday we attempted to go to the Rally to Restore Sanity, however the metro did not cooperate and after almost and hour and only 2 PACKED trains we said screw it.  Got some sandwiches and went back to our friends Katie and Grant's and watched it on tv.
It might have been meant to be.  While we were at Katie and Grant's we discover that McKenna has a new skill.  Luckily she was willing to demonstrate for us again this morning so we could get it on video.

Where's McKenna?

We attempted to go to the Rally to Restore Sanity - but we didn't even make it on to the metro.  I've NEVER see the trains that crowded.

Little Ducky

McKenna wore her halloween costume to school today.

Look at me sitting like a big girl

She still falls over, so we can't just plop her down on the floor.  The play pen gives her a chance to work on sitting and moving around without us worrying she'll bonk her head.

No - thats not a shiner.  She's got a little bit of a cold so her eye is really runny.  Its hard to keep it clean.  Plus she hates having her face wiped in any way shape or form.

Beep Beep!

Ian and I have both developed the habit of touching McKenna's nose with one finger and going "Beep Beep."  She laughs almost every time.  Well last night we were sitting there and we did the "beep beep thing" a couple of times.  Apparently McKenna wanted more because she leaned forward and smooshed her face against mine.  She actually did this several times because Mommy thought it was so entertaining that she had to see if McKenna would do it again. 

So we may have our baby convinced that her nose goes beep beep. 

We also wonder if this is her version of giving "kisses" - but we'll probably never know for sure.

7 Months

McKenna is 7 months old!  She has 2 teeth.  Is on the edge of being able to sit all by herself.  Rolls all over the place.  Seems to really enjoy eating baby food.  The only thing she hasn't liked so far is peaches.  She is still skinnier than she is tall.  Unfortunately her tear duct is still blocked.  She is still tongue tied but we've noticed her sticking her tongue out a lot more recently so hopefully it will stretch.  She hates having her face wiped in any way shape or form.  She LOVEs her kitties.  Hopefully she learns quickly that screaming at them doesn't get them to come closer.
